The Lochaber Area is well know for its spectacular mountain scenery and, together with Fort William, has been designated the official "outdoor capital of the UK". The area is popular with hill walkers looking to climb many of the "Munroes" (mountains over 3000ft) in the area) as well as Ben Nevis, Brittain's highest peak.
